Panels
Panels are available in two styles, flat or a type of ribbed appearance similar to our Styleline style.
There are 3 thicknesses of panel available. These are:
Panels are made from Insulated Polypanel with roll-formed coloursteel sheets on either side.
Each section is capped with a powdercoated aluminium extrusion with a continuous ABS plastic thermal break. This includes a gasket seal between each section and a 20mm rebated join for weather-tight closure.
Door jamb seal laps 50mm around door opening.
The weatherseal on the bottom of the door is a flexible PVC seal held in place by a retainer. Perimeter seal on the back edge of the door jambs is a "U" type gasket seal held with an aluminium retainer.
Fitting
Door tracks are made from heavy duty galvanised steel.
Vertical tracks are graduated for weather-tight closing.
Tracks can either be bracket mounted or continous angle mounted and are fully adjustable for sealing doors to jamb seal. Horizontal tracks are reinforced with angle bracing at installation.
Hinges are galvanised and have solid brass pins. The hinge plates are 100mm wide for secure fixing which results in smoother and quieter operation.
Rollers have contact sealed bearings with galvanised solid axles. Roller and bearing sizes will meet design requirements and limitations.
When door is manually operated the lock used is an internal spring-loaded latch and striker plate. As an option interior pad bolt locking can be fitted to the door for locking through the track section.
Exterior key locking is also available as an option.
Electrically operated doors do not require latch locks.
Operation
A standard installation has galvanised extension springs down each side of the roor opening or overhead torsion spring systems. The spring is matched to the door weight and is connected to the door via galvanised aircraft grade lifting cables.
This type of spring tension system allows doors to be opened and closed quickly by hand without noise or effort.
Door stops in horizontal tracks.
Other options available:
- Chain hoist
- Electrically operated
- Range of activation options available for electronic operation
