We are New Zealand agents for Inferno fire rated roller shutter doors. These doors have been developed to solve a number of fire enginering problems and are designed to be used in high profile, high quality and tehnically demanding situations.
Doors can be installed as a fully operational standard roller shutter or as a "hold open" fire shutter which descends in the event of a fire. Also have an option to install as a smoke barrier with the addition of a smoke detector so the door descends in the event of smoke.
Doors are between 1 hour and 4 hours fire rated depending on options chosen.
Curtains are made of individual slats which are available in two sizes:
Curtains available as standard measuring up to 3600mm wide or 14SqM wide providing 4 hours fire rated 240/240/02 FRL.
Curtains available as oversize measuring up to 4500mm high x 5500mm wide providing up to 4 hours fire rated 240/240/02 FRL.
Window options available up to 2000SqM providing 1 hour fire rated 240/240/02 FRL.
Doors are CSIRO tested to AS1530 Part4; AS1905-2 compliant.
The drum is a 165mm x 5mm seamless drawn tube housing counterbalanced springs.

Brackets are 8mm thick mild steel plate.
For window fire rated shutters the guides are 50m x 50mm x 3mm galvanised pressed steel channel with a bracket and hood combination of 250mm x 250mm x 3mm galvanised steel.
Inferno doors can be installed and used in a day to day operation to secure any opening whilst still retaining the fire raiting of the building.
